How to make a burger in a bowl
Let’s take a closer look at how to make this recipe with step-by-step photos (full recipe in the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post):

Burger Bowl Recipe TIPS
•Let the beef brown: Add the beef to a hot skillet and let it cook undisturbed for a few minutes before stirring, so it develops a rich, caramelized flavor instead of steaming.
•Make them your own: The ingredient amounts are just a starting point—feel free to add more or less of any topping, sauce, or burger fixings to create your perfect burger bowl.
•Serve the beef warm: Warm beef over cool, crisp toppings creates the best contrast of temperatures and textures.
•Avoid assembling ahead: Fully assembled burger bowls can become soggy, so they’re best assembled just before serving.

serving ideas
•Pasta salads: Macaroni salad, bacon pea salad, or Italian pasta salad
•Potluck favorites: Corn on the cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, broccoli salad
•Fruit: Watermelon fruit salad, ambrosia fruit salad, or best fruit salad

HOW TO STORE
•Store components separately: For the freshest burger bowls, store the cooked beef, toppings, and dressing in separate airtight containers.
•Refrigerate: The cooked beef will keep for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
•Reheat before serving: Warm the beef in the microwave or a skillet until heated through, then assemble the bowls with the cold toppings and dressing.

- 1 cup cubed sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 strips of cooked and crumbled bacon (I use this recipe)
For the BOWLS

- 1 recipe Burger Sauce (please don’t skip!)
Instructions
- Potato Wedges: Click here for the recipe or bake store-bought fries according to package instructions.
- Burger Sauce: Click here for the recipe. While the wedges/fries bake, whisk the sauce ingredients together and prep any toppings.
- Cook Beef: Heat a large, heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat. Once smoking, add the beef and sear on each side for 1-2 minutes without touching, until nicely browned. Then, break up the beef and add the spices. Cook and crumble until fully cooked through and deeply browned. Drain excess grease, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
- Assemble: Divide the lettuce among four pasta bowls, then add the beef, fries, and toppings. When ready to serve, drizzle with burger sauce. Serve immediately.
